Tribute: Formerly of Montreal, Aspen, Nova Scotia and Burlington Ontario at the age of 95 years, Iris passed away peacefully at Broadview Nursing Home, Smiths Falls, Ontario on Saturday February 11, 2012 with her son Peter by her side. Iris was predeceased by her husband Eric Kendall and daughter Patricia Henry as well her brothers Arthur Best, Doug Best, Edward Best and her sisters Ada Lamb, Emma Langford, Violet Weeks, and Ivy Montgomery.
Iris is survived by her son, Peter Kendall and his wife Nola, and her grandsons, Eric Henry of Burlington and Scott Kendall, of Ottawa as well as her granddaughters, Robin Henry of Burlington, and Karen Kendall of Calgary. Also surviving Iris are her sister Dorothy Niddrie of Yachats, Oregon and her two great grandchildren, Nigel and Kaylana Henry of Burlington as well as several loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation 11:30 – 1:30 followed by memorial service and luncheon at Barclay’s Funeral Home at 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Sunday, February 19, 2012. No flowers please, in lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowkedged by the family. Interment will be in the Spring in Montreal.
